Ancient Indian folklore and those of medieval Europe believed Diamonds were thunderbolts that became lodged in the earth. Only a thunderbolt could cut into glass and other metals, thus the diamond became the Queen of the gems. Diamonds are thought to offer access to divine energies, stimulating and opening all the chakras; they promote truth, vision, and alignment.
Sterling Silver piece has been antiqued (darkened) to give contrast and an antique character. Antiquing will naturally weather with time, showing peeks of its original color with wear. This is the intended effect.
