Our Story

LUNESSA Designer Jewelry, located in the heart of Soho, NYC, is an enchanted jewelry box boutique for women of all ages. We feature exceptional Artisan and Fine jewelry, with an eye for detail and an emphasis on craftsmanship and value. Owner, Elise Perelman, showcases her own collection, as well as a curated selection of gems from local designers and antique estate jewelry. Our style is timeless and feminine, to celebrate the beauty and allure of being a woman.
Our patient and knowledgeable staff will help you find the perfect gift, or co-create a custom design. We feature an affordable-priced Street Collection perfect for inexpensive gifts, as well as Fine & Designer Jewelry for special occasions and collectors.
For brides and bridesmaids, we are happy to personalize the perfect jewels for your wedding and wedding party gifts. We also offer private jewelry making parties! A fun and unique way to celebrate, bond, and leave with beautiful jewelry!

The backstory:
LUNESSA Designer Jewelry opened its doors in 2005 by designer Elise Perelman. LUNESSA, intended to be a haven of beautiful feminine treasures, was inspired by a dream of uncovering gems in an enchanted forest. Perelman is an FIT fashion design graduate who began her career fresh out of school, as a Manhattan street artist on fashionable Fifth Avenue. She is primarily a self-taught jeweler, inventing and learning new skills as her inspiration demands. Inspiration comes from dreams, femininity, nature and ethereality, and a love of color and sparkle. Perelman muses, ‘ I enjoy seeing a design come to life and transform someone… and it makes me happy to add a little sparkle and happiness to the world!’
LUNESSA (lu•ness•a) was named to represent the Crescent Moon Goddess and all her treasures – feminine, celestial and spiritual; the embodiment of divine feminine beauty. The LUNESSA emblem - a bejeweled butterfly - represents transformation and beauty. The butterfly is an ethereal creature that transforms into beauty and freedom with time…as with patience and a commitment to one’s heart and path, we each do as well.  
The Lunessa Boutique and Elise Perelman have designed for the following runway shows: Jenny Lee, Jim Hjelm, Alvina Valenta, and Lazaro; partnered with (cosmetics entrepreneur) Bobbi Brown; featured on QVC, The Today Show,  and What Not to Wear with Stacey London; covered in the Style Section of theNew York Times, NY Magazine, Elle, Lucky, InStyle Weddings, Brides Local, Seventeen, Manhattan Bride, The Knot, Martha Stewart Weddings  & Time Out NY.  Fans run the gamut from Ke$ha to Bill Clinton!
